How We Collect Your Information

We collect information about you directly from you, from third parties, and automatically via your use of the Services.

Installation: When you install, access or use our Apps, we collect information that your mobile device sends like a device identifier, user settings, network provider, location, language, operating system version and screen resolution as well as information about your use of the Services.

Your Contacts and Messages: To provide the Services, we need to have access to and retain your phone number, call logs, text messages (including contents), and contacts information such as names, addresses, photos and phone numbers.

Third Party Accounts: If you decide to link to or authenticate using third-party accounts, we may also collect the identification information required to integrate such accounts as well as the contacts information available on such accounts, including but not limited to the identifiers associated to the social profiles, as permitted by the account privacy settings. For example, if you link your account with your Google account, we may collect information about your Google profile as well as your Google contacts and their profiles.

Registration: When you register for an account with us, we collect personal information such as your name and email address. If you link the Services to another account such as Google, Twitter, or others (collectively, the “Accounts”), we will access and collect the information that your account allows to be shared (based on your Account privacy settings).

Certain Features/Services: We may also collect and store certain other information in our provision of certain additional features, including:

  • Email Card: We ask for your consent to access and read emails in order to provide our email card feature.  You must grant us consent to access your emails in order activate and use this feature.
  • Spam protection: to provide spam protection features we need to collect numbers that are reported, blocked or marked as spam by our users and create a globally crowdsourced spam numbers directory based on these numbers, publicly available information and additional sources. You may reach out to us with a request to remove a number from the spam list, but note that due to the nature of a globally crowdsourced directory, if users keep reporting a number as spam – it will be added again to the spam list even if it was previously removed. We do not moderate the spam numbers directory and we do not guarantee spam protection accuracy, completeness or reliability.
  • Caller ID: to provide the caller id feature we need to associate a name to a number and create a globally crowdsourced caller id database based on identifications made by our users, our algorithms, publicly available information and additional sources. A name will be automatically associated to a number only if our algorithm receives reports from multiple sources that verify it; however, we do not guarantee caller ID data accuracy, completeness or reliability. To provide call and messages related features we need to access information such as your contacts phone numbers.
  • Backup: when you create an account we will back up a certain number of contacts (which are automatically chosen), and you will be able to sync your backed up contacts between two supported devices. If you upgrade your account by purchasing Premium Features we will increase the contacts number limit and, if possible, backup your SMS and call logs and you will be able to sync your backed up information between two supported devices. We cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness or availability of the backup feature.

Other Information We Collect Automatically: We also may automatically collect the following information about your use of our Services (including our Apps) through cookies, web beacons, and other technologies: your domain name; your browser type and operating system; page views; links you click; your IP address; location information; the length of time you visit our Site and or use our Services; referring URL; access date and time; mobile device ID; location and language information; device name and model; operating system type, name, and version; your activities within the App; and the length of time that you are logged into our App.  We may combine this information with other information that we have collected about you, including, where applicable, your user name, name, and other personal information.
